your love,
OUR HISTORY
Welcome to Barron’s Red Silo, a living testament to a rich past and a place where history is continually written. Built in 1931 by the industrious Sleasman brothers, this enduring all-wood barn, with its awe-inspiring 35-foot ceiling, tells the story of their determination and vision. Originally, a functional dairy farm, the barn housed up to 30 cows and also provided a sense of community to students from a nearby one-room schoolhouse.
In 2000, Dick Barron purchased the property and expanded his cattle farm to 135 acres. Starting in 2012, Dick and his sister Bernadette embarked on a journey to revitalize the barn and silo, preserving their rich history while infusing them with modern charm. An exquisite ash floor was installed in 2014, complemented by a new roof and picture windows that bathe the space in natural light. Hand-assembled crystal chandeliers, a testament to craftsmanship, are suspended on a cable hoist for easy maintenance.
